Puntadas, Secretos y Algo Más

adriana-igarte-el-tiempo-entre-costuras

The Detox Diet

fruits and juice

So, it turns out that december is over and the extra weight is always there. Not to worry though! The diets are always by your side when work and stress is all that you can think about. Besides… The trendy thing of going into «detox» is all over the place. If you don’t believe me check on anyone’s twitter, fb, or instagram showing you some green juice or big dish of fresh fruit.

I started my diet today, and honestly is harder than I thought. Why? I love candy, flourish things, and basically everything that is known because of its good taste. I hope the survival skills work harder here. This menu is not invented, and it is certified by a professional doctor. DON’T do it before asking your doctor, or health consultant about this ‘detox’ process.

Here we go:

DAY 1:

Before you go and grab breakfast, drink two glasses of water (not cold), each with a few drops of lemon juice. Wait at least half-an-hour before you eat your first meal.

Breakfast: One tangerine, one kiwi and one glass of pink grapefruit juice. Add two or three leaves of pure mint.

Between meals, you’re supposed to be drinking water with lemon juice. The goal is to drink eight glasses of water per day. This would help you clean your organism and remove unwanted fats (specially on your skin).

Lunch: Blend three cooked carrots, with one roasted cucumber. On the side, serve one tangerine, and one pink grapefruit. Serve one glass of water with a few drops of lemon juice.

Dinner (it has to be before 8pm): Serve a  bowl of natural vegetable soup (roast in low heat a piece of celery, a few green beans and a quarter of a pumpkin. After they’re soft and pouring some water, blend them together) , lower in salt. On the side, one tangerine and one cup of blended cucumber with lemon juice and water.

FYI: It’s normal to feel down and low in energy during the first few days. The results will make it worth it.

DAY 2:

Breakfast: After you wake up, cut some pieces of cantaloupe and eat as many as you want, until noon. Leave some time before you go and grab lunch.

Lunch (between noon and 2pm): Boil one personal portion of chicken breast. No sauces, no extras, just a little salt. On the side, a fresh salad with boiled carrots and peas, fresh lettuce and spinach, and boiled mushrooms. If you’re thirsty grab a cup of water or a cup of any medicinal tea (NO sugar on it!)

Dinner: Once again, a bowl of natural vegetable soup, and this time… A personal portion of salmon carpaccio. Add lemon, salt and olive oil on it. On the side blend a cup of half of a green apple, cucumber and lemon juice. Drink it fast, before it looses its original flavor.

This diet is for warriors. Remember, you can be hungry between meals but, the results will make it worth it.

DAY 3:

Breakfast: Time to enjoy the sweet taste of one of the most delicious fruits around the world. Buy a big watermelon and eat all that you want before the clock hits noon. If you’re thirsty drink water or water with a few drops of lemon juice.

Lunch: Cook (don’t fry) a personal portion of turkey meat, and on the side a big fresh salad with lettuce, spinach, carrots, peas and green beans.

Dinner: A bowl of natural vegetable soup, and on the side, a personal portion of shredded turkey meat. Add a little salt to it, for better taste.

FYI: It’s normal to feel hungry, and have a little headache every now and then. I already lost some weight. Keep going and you’ll see the amazing results waiting for you, when the 45 days are completed.

DAY 4:

Breakfast: Buy a big papaya and eat all that you want until the clock hits noon.

Lunch: Enjoy a delicious dish of natural turkey meat, and a big fresh salad. Add avocado for better taste. (it would taste like glory… I swear).

Dinner: One bowl of natural vegetable soup, and a big fresh salad.

Note: Now you know how to work your self-control area, and keep going for those future amazing results. The results are already showing themselves. You can do this.

DAY 5:

Ok… This is getting harder

Breakfast: Squeeze fresh lemon juice and fill it all the way up in a medium cup. Drink it, and as always don’t eat anything else until the clock hits noon. (The stomach burning is absolutely normal, and so does the nausea… it’s not something to worry about)

Lunch: A personal portion of fresh shrimp (or chicken if you have any sort of allergies) and on the side a fresh salad with lettuce, spinach and a little avocado.

Dinner: Yay! It’s for some real flavor! Cook some fresh chicken and add natural tomato sauce to it. It’s going to taste amazing, I promise. And on the side, a personal side salad with lettuce, spinach and avocado. No soup tonight!

P.S. Get ready for saturday! It’s going to be the best day of your life. I promise!

DAY 6

Breakfast: Ok warrior, the best is about to come. And like everything good, it isn’t free or easy to achieve. Your breakfast are three litters of water. Drink them, enjoy them and wait till’ the clock hits noon to go and grab lunch.

Lunch: Say yum! because… today you get to eat rice! But, because it’s healthy rice is wheat rice (you’ll find it available in organic and specialty grocery stores). Cook some natural or organic turkey meat and shredded to tiny pieces so you can mix it with the rice. It’ll taste like heaven. On the side, a big fresh salad, with carrots, lettuce, zucchini, avocado and cherry tomatoes.

Dinner: A very light dinner of salmon carpaccio and a cup of water.

Remember: if you’re hungry or thirsty go for water or the best choice, hot tea (green and chai tea count as valid).

DAY 7:

Breakfast: This is going to turn to be a little bit of a routine, so today eat all the melon you want before the clock hits noon.

Lunch: For today, roasted chicken breast, and on the side, a fresh salad.

Dinner: Salmon carpaccio, with a side of fresh salad.

DAY 8:

Today is going to be the happiest day on Earth for you! Why? You can eat whatever you want whenever you want it. Enjoy yourself and don’t get sick.
